The “Babaylan Spirit 2026: Women Leading Change, Promoting Health, Protecting Lives” activity was successfully conducted on March 27, 2026, at Sun Hwa International Academy. The program was organized by the Women’s Federation for World Peace – Philippines (WFWP Philippines) in partnership with Sun Hwa International Academy. It gathered students, faculty members, and parents, with a total of 44 participants, reflecting a collaborative effort among different sectors of the school community.
The activity was an educational and advocacy program designed to promote women’s leadership, health education, and social responsibility. It focused on empowering participants through values-centered learning while raising awareness about the role of women as agents of positive change and the importance of protecting life through informed health decisions. The program featured key topics such as women’s leadership and HIV awareness, emphasizing both personal development and community responsibility.
The event was held within the premises of Sun Hwa International Academy, providing an accessible and meaningful setting for participants. Conducted on March 27, 2026, the program included a structured sequence of activities beginning with a welcome message from the school’s president, followed by a series of informative discussions. Prof. Juvy V. Delmonte delivered a session on “Babaylan Spirit: Women Inspiring Women,” highlighting the influence of women in leadership and nation-building. This was followed by Dr. Janet Kabayama’s presentation on “HIV Awareness in the 21st Century,” which addressed education, prevention, and stigma reduction. The program also included special messages and closing remarks from school representatives, reinforcing the significance of the activity.
The activity aimed to empower participants with knowledge and values that support responsible decision-making and community engagement.
