Utmost devotion and gratitude to our Most Loving Heavenly Parent and our Most Beloved and Victorious True Parents of Heaven, Earth, and Humankind.

My name is Romel Pinson. Together with my wife and daughter, our family recently moved to Palau as missionaries for our church. We came from the Philippines.

Before sharing my reflection on the recent 64th Day of All True Things celebration, please allow me to first share our family’s journey prior to coming to this pristine island nation.

Before receiving this calling as missionaries, I was given the grace and responsibility to serve as the pastor of Cebu Family Church in the Philippines. However, due to our family situation, I eventually reached the point where I could no longer fully carry out my duties and responsibilities as a church pastor and needed to be replaced.

Everything changed when my wife gave birth to our second daughter, baby Ae Shin Keziah, ten months ago. Both mother and child had to remain in the hospital for four months because Ae Shin was diagnosed with Trisomy 18, also known as Edward’s Syndrome. After four months of struggle and prayer, our beloved Ae Shin ascended to the spirit world on December 25 last year.

We began this year with her Wonjeon Ceremony. A few days after her 40th day ceremony, around the second week of February, we returned to my wife’s hometown in Bohol, Philippines, where we continued our pastoral responsibilities – visiting family members and others.

Then, around March, we received the calling to serve here in this pristine island nation of Palau. Our couple offered conditions and prayed deeply regarding this mission. During prayer, I strongly felt that Heaven was telling us that this mission was the fruit of Ae Shin’s sacrifice — that we were being called to harvest this offering by bringing many children back to Heavenly Parent and True Parents.

With that heart, we accepted the mission and finally arrived here in Palau on May 23.

The Holy Day celebration held on June 15, commemorating the 64th Day of All True Things, became especially meaningful for our family because it was our very first Holy Day celebration here in Palau. Since we are still in our first month in this beautiful island nation, our family is still adjusting, especially our two-year-old daughter, Ae Cheon Nirel.

Even so, we celebrated the Holy Day with sincere hearts as a family and made a determination to celebrate future Holy Days together with many more members and spiritual children. As we prepared our offering table, we harvested fruits from nature, and while doing so, I deeply felt that all creation was joyful to offer these fruits to Heavenly Parent and True Parents on this special occasion.

As we embark on this new mission, our family sincerely desires to fulfill our responsibility as a Blessed Family in this era of Cheon Il Guk and offer substantial results and joy to Heavenly Parent and True Parents.

Thank you very much.
