The HTG Korea Mission Orientation Program was successfully held at Antipolo Family Church together with the HTG Korea sisters, AFC, ABCD, and local staff. The orientation was conducted to welcome the HTG Korea sisters and help them better understand their mission, responsibilities, and activities during their three-month stay in Antipolo.
The program started with an opening song, prayer, and welcome message. This was followed by a short getting-to-know-you activity where participants introduced themselves, shared why they joined the mission, and expressed what they were excited about during their stay.
The local staff then introduced Antipolo Family Church, sharing its focus on family, youth, and outreach activities. The AFC staff also introduced the church structure, weekly activities, and the warm culture of the community.
A discussion about the purpose of the mission was given, emphasizing the importance of building relationships, serving the community, and growing spiritually. Expectations were also shared for both the HTG Korea sisters and the local staff. The sisters were encouraged to be open, adaptable, and active in all activities, while the local staff committed to supporting and guiding them throughout their mission.
Possible challenges such as language barriers, cultural differences, and adjusting to schedules were also discussed. Support systems were introduced to help the sisters adjust more easily.
The mission goals for the next three months were presented, including witnessing and fundraising twice a week, participation in outreach activities, and serving in programs such as OFD as table assistants. ABCD also shared their witnessing experiences to encourage and inspire the participants.
In the afternoon, the HTG Korea sisters, together with some Antipolo 1st and 2nd Generation sisters, visited the Holy Ground located at Ynares Center. The visit gave the participants an opportunity to connect more deeply with the spiritual foundation of the area, spend meaningful time together, and strengthen their bond through fellowship and reflection.
The program ended with an open sharing, question-and-answer session, and a closing prayer.
Overall, the orientation helped build understanding, unity, and cooperation between HTG Korea, AFC, ABCD, and the local staff of Antipolo Family Church as they begin their mission journey together.
