The Chingu Day was successfully held on January 17, 2025, at the FFWPU Pasig Center in San Antonio, Pasig City, through the support and participation of the Heavenly Top Gun (HTG) Korea Team. The activity was designed to create a joyful and interactive environment where participants could experience fellowship, cultural exchange, and meaningful values formation through engaging activities.
The program opened with a lively icebreaker activity that immediately created a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Participants were encouraged to interact with one another, helping to build comfort, connection, and enthusiasm for the activities prepared for the day.
This was followed by an inspiring talk from Engr. Seung Young Miles Fernandez, IAYSP-Pilipinas Secretary-General, who shared about the principle of living for the sake of others. His message emphasized the importance of selflessness, service, and consideration for others in daily life, setting a reflective and meaningful tone for the rest of the program.
After the talk, participants were introduced to a hands-on cultural activity led by Ms. Kana Kim from HTG Korea, who demonstrated how to make Dango, a traditional Japanese sweet. Participants attentively followed the demonstration and enjoyed the process of making their own Dango, creating a fun and collaborative learning experience.
The cultural learning continued with an origami session, where Ms. Kana Kim explained the significance of the Daruma and guided participants step-by-step in creating their own Daruma through paper folding. This activity encouraged patience, creativity, and appreciation for Japanese culture.
Following the activities, everyone gathered for snack time, where participants happily shared and enjoyed the Dango they had made together. This moment provided time for casual conversation, laughter, and bonding among the group.
To conclude the program, participants engaged in a reflection writing session, where they expressed their thoughts, learnings, and experiences from the day’s activities. The event ended with a group photo, capturing the joyful memories and unity built during Chingu Day.
Overall, Chingu Day was a meaningful and enjoyable activity that successfully combined fellowship, cultural exchange, and values education. Participants left with new experiences, deeper connections, and valuable insights they could carry into their daily lives.
