On January 2, 2026, the meet and greet event, comprising engaged and communicating couples from the 1st and 2nd generations, was held via Zoom with the objectives of facilitating follow-up, promoting mutual understanding, and providing support to couples as they navigate the communication process towards receiving the blessing.

The program was honored by the presence of Rev. John Rhodbert Gregorio, Secretary General of the FFWPU Philippine Region, who served as the keynote speaker for the meet and greet. Mrs. Catherine Gregorio of BFD Philippines commenced the program with an inspiring opening, encouraging all attendees to actively listen and be fully present in order to receive guidance from the speaker.

Rev. John emphasized seven essential strategies for cultivating joy in a relationship through effective communication. These strategies included: accounting for one’s emotions, adopting a negotiator’s mindset, asking questions before speaking, paying close attention to non-verbal cues, taking turns in conversation, avoiding judgmental statements, and consistently expressing appreciation. He encouraged all couples to reflect on these principles and collaboratively implement positive changes where necessary to strengthen their bond.

Several participants shared personal experiences and strategies for navigating their relationships, expressing a strong commitment to improving communication with their partners. They highlighted specific techniques they found effective, such as active listening and expressing empathy, and reaffirmed their determination to foster open and honest dialogue.

In addition to receiving words of wisdom and encouragement, participants, including Matching Supporters and BFD members, had the opportunity to share their own experiences leading up to their blessing. These personal accounts provided valuable insights and fostered a deeper connection among those present.
