The BFD-Philippines organized a Godly Marriage Education program on February 23, 2026, held at the FFWPU Headquarters and conducted via Zoom. An estimated total of 60 participants attended the event. The program focused on enriching couples’ partnerships and building an “appreciation bank” to help protect and strengthen relationships during challenging times.
The program was graced by Rev. Ronnie Sodusta, Regional Director of FFWPU Philippines, who offered special guidance to the participants at the conclusion of the event. Also present onsite were Rev. John Gregorio, Secretary General of FFWPU Philippines, together with Mrs. Catherine Gregorio, BFD Director of the Philippines, showing their full support for the program.
The highlight of the session was the lecture delivered by Mr. Stephen Stacey, together with his wife, Mrs. Barbara Stacey, an elder couple with a deep appreciation for how the Divine Principle enriches married life. Mr. Stacey emphasized the importance of building a strong partnership and cultivating a healthy marital relationship. Drawing from their own marriage experience, he shared practical ways couples can nurture unity, strengthen communication, and grow together through life’s challenges.
The session included an engaging question-and-answer portion where Mr. and Mrs. Stacey shared their experiences, particularly on topics such as who apologizes first and how they manage emotions during critical moments. Through breakout sessions and guided activities, couples were given the opportunity to express appreciation for one another, focusing on their spouse’s inner qualities such as kindness, patience, humor, intelligence, integrity, compassion, and faith. These reflections encouraged participants to recognize and affirm the core values that shape their partner’s character and decisions.
As the program came to a close, Mrs. Yuki Carias, a participant via Zoom, shared that the true foundation of their marriage is gratitude for one another. Another participant, Mrs. Elsa Providentia from Eastern Visayas, expressed her deep gratitude for her husband’s unwavering support of her mission. Despite the challenges of her being away, her husband faithfully works hard and lovingly cares for their son, carrying significant responsibility at home. She acknowledged his quiet sacrifices, dedication, and steadfast faith, recognizing that the mission she fulfills is not hers alone, but a shared offering they make together as a family.
Overall, the program concluded with renewed inspiration among the participants, strengthening their commitment to build God-centered marriages rooted in appreciation, understanding, and mutual support.
