A cultural performance by Rachael and Anna reminded participants of the ocean’s role as a source of identity and inspiration. Expert speakers Mrs Qiulae Wong and Dr Kayla Kingdon-Bebb reinforced the importance of evidence-based policy, conservation leadership, and cross-sector collaboration.

President Leon Pogoni opened the forum with a call for unified regional leadership. Mr Keu Mataroa of the Cook Islands highlighted the cultural and environmental ties that bind Pacific nations to the ocean, while Mr Cameron Luxton contributed to constructive policy dialogue.

In closing, Chairman Kenji Watanabe reaffirmed WSFF’s commitment to sustainable sports fishing, marine conservation, and safeguarding the ocean for future generations. The forum concluded with thanks to all organisers, volunteers, and participants.
