On September 13th, a vibrant upcycling workshop brought together 40 enthusiastic participants at the Peace Embassy for a creative afternoon of transforming used 3-in-1 beverage sachets into beautiful, functional coasters. Led by our engaging instructor Jenisse and opening remarks from President Mdm Lina Cheng, the session buzzed with excitement as everyone learned the simple yet rewarding process of cutting and weaving the colorful packaging materials. Each team was guided by instructors and facilitators and the atmosphere was filled with joy and collaboration, enhanced by a refreshment break that allowed new friends to connect, leaving all attendees not only proud of their handmade creations but also inspired by this practical approach to environmental care. The overwhelming positive response has already sparked anticipation for future events, with many expressing eagerness to join again and bring along more friends for our next sustainable crafting adventure!

Upcycling builds community connection and has a unique way of bringing people together, fostering connections across different age groups and backgrounds. By focusing on shared goals like creativity and environment awareness, these projects help breakdown barriers and build lasting relationships.
