A central theme of the gathering was the importance of healthy family relationships and supportive home environments in shaping the wellbeing and development of children. While families may take different forms, the quality of the relationships within them plays an important role in helping children grow with a sense of safety, love, and support. When children experience positive relationships at home, they are better able to develop confidence, responsibility, independence, trust, and resilience. 

The August gathering reaffirmed the value of creating a community that feels like an extended family, one where people can grow together, support one another, and provide a positive environment for the next generation. Through these regular Family and Friends Peace Services, the Sydney community continues to turn the ideal of a true family community into something that can be experienced through everyday relationships and shared moments.
