The event “Srebrenica – 30 Years After the Committed Genocide” was held on July 26, 2025, in Sydney, organized by the Bosnian Community Council of NSW and UPF Oceania. Conducted entirely in English, it featured survivor testimonies, government and academic insights, and a panel discussion highlighting remembrance, education, genocide prevention, and global solidarity. Held at UPF’s venue for the first time outside Bosnian community spaces, the program was deeply moving, especially the testimony of Mirela Muratović, who shared her childhood experience of losing both parents in the genocide and her ongoing advocacy for peace.
