The Peace Road & Multicultural Peace Festival 2025 was successfully held at Ismay Park, Homebush, bringing together community leaders, ambassadors for peace, and diverse cultural groups. The event showcased UPF’s vision of “One Family Under God” through the symbolic Peace Road Walkathon and a multicultural celebration. It began with a warm welcome by the MCs, followed by a Zumba session and light exercises before the official flag-off of the walkathon at 10:00 AM. Participants returned an hour later, inspired by the spirit of unity and peace.

The formal programme included an Acknowledgement of Country honouring the Wangal people of the Eora Nation. Distinguished guests such as Strathfield Mayor John-Paul Baladi, UPF Oceania Chairman Mr. Yutaka Yamada, UPF Oceania President Mr. Greg Stone, UPF Australia President Mr. John Adamedes, and Ms. Daphne Lowe, Director of the Chinese Museum, joined local councillors and community leaders in attendance. Speeches highlighted the importance of peace, cultural exchange, and building unity in diversity, with Mr. Adamedes, Mayor Baladi, and Ms. Lowe sharing inspiring remarks.

The second half of the programme featured the Multicultural Peace Festival, where communities from Vietnam, Nepal, Russia, the Philippines, Mongolia, China, and Korea showcased their traditions through music and dance. This vibrant display of culture embodied the theme of “unity in diversity” and created a joyful atmosphere of togetherness. The event closed with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks from Mr. Santosh Neupane, Secretary-General of UPF Oceania, who expressed gratitude to all the guests, performers, volunteers, and participants. Light refreshments were then shared, allowing everyone to continue conversations and fellowship in the spirit of peace and harmony
