About Us
The Family Federation for World Peace and Unification is an association of families throughout the world that acknowledge God as the Creator and Heavenly Parent of all humankind. We are guided by the ideal that our life on earth is given to us so that we can learn how to love other people unselfishly, and to that end we try to apply the principle of “living for the sake of others.” The FFWPU members believe God’s original plan for the world was that we would become mature and loving individuals, establish strong families and then a global society of lasting peace.
The Family Federation for World Peace and Unification is the recreation of God’s ideal family. Beginning from their own Marriage Blessing in 1960, Father and Mother Moon are calling men and women to transcend race and religion, rebuilding the family as the vessel of true lasting love, and the cornerstone of world peace through the Blessing. This tradition of God-centered marriage provides a powerful model for building a family of true love, and expanding at life, to establish a foundation for lasting peace.
Heavenly Parent’s Holy Community Founders Dr. and Mrs. Sun Myung Moon see the human potential as being expressed in three stages: the first is personal maturity, integrity and love for others; the second is marrying and raising a family in true love; and the third is our relationship with the world around us and the wise use of its resources.
By working together with affiliate organizations, partners in the professional world, and inter-religious organizations, the FFWPU seeks to collaborate and find practical ways to improve each person’s relationship with the environment, and relationships with other across cultural, religious and national divides.
Acting on God’s behalf with such intentional acts of love, we can expand the culture of heart in this beautiful world that is our common home.
