Blessed Family and Members Visitation & Consultation in the Bicol Region
October 3-4, 2026 at Bicol, Philippines
The Blessed Family Department (BFD) Philippines conducted a two-day Blessed Family and Member Visitation and Consultation in the Bicol Region on October 3–4, 2026. The visitation was organized to personally connect with Blessed Families, members, and Blessing candidates in the region, strengthen relationships, and better understand their current situations and concerns. Throughout the two-day visitation, the BFD team was able to personally interview and consult with a total of 20 individuals and families, composed of 10 Blessed Families and 10 Blessing candidates from both the First and Second Generations. The visitation also provided an opportunity for the BFD team to offer guidance and encouragement to families and candidates as they continue their journey of faith and preparation for the Blessing.
The visitation team was headed by Mrs. Dulce Buyayo, Asia Pacific Blessed Family Department Director, together with Mrs. Catherine Gregorio, Director of BFD Philippines. Their first destination was the Daet/Naga Educational Center, where they met with local members and families. The team also had the opportunity to meet and coordinate with Mrs. Hidda Suzuki, BFD Coordinator, strengthening communication and cooperation in supporting the Blessed Families and Blessing candidates in the area. Through personal conversations and consultations, the team was able to listen closely to the experiences, concerns, and circumstances of the families and candidates while strengthening the connection between the regional and national BFD leadership.
On Saturday, October 3, the BFD team conducted individual interviews and consultations with five Blessed Families and four Blessing candidates, composed of both First- and Second-Generation candidates. The meetings provided a meaningful and personal space for each family and candidate to openly share their situations, experiences, concerns, and aspirations. The team offered appropriate guidance and encouragement based on their individual circumstances, particularly regarding family life, preparation for the Blessing, and the matching process. These conversations also helped the BFD leadership identify areas where continued guidance and follow-up may be needed.
On Sunday, October 4, the team continued its visitation at the Legazpi Family Church. Following the Sunday Service, they met with and interviewed five Blessed Families and six First Generation Blessing candidates. The consultations allowed the BFD leaders to gain a deeper understanding of the candidates’ preparation and readiness for the matching and Blessing process. At the same time, the Blessed Families were given an opportunity to share their family situations and receive personal guidance, encouragement, and support from the BFD team.
The Sunday visit also became especially meaningful as the BFD team witnessed the change of leadership of the Head Pastor of the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU), Legazpi Chapter. This important transition marked a new chapter for the local church community and provided an opportunity to reaffirm the importance of cooperation between church leadership and the Blessed Family Department. The presence of the BFD team during this occasion further strengthened the spirit of unity and shared responsibility among the church leadership, Blessed Families, members, and BFD in caring for families and advancing the Blessing providence in the region.
Overall, the two-day visitation provided a valuable opportunity to personally connect with and support 10 Blessed Families and 10 Blessing candidates in the Bicol Region. Beyond the interviews and consultations, the visitation deepened the BFD’s understanding of the actual situations, needs, and concerns of families and candidates at the local level. It also strengthened coordination with local BFD leadership and emphasized the importance of continuous communication, personal care, and consistent follow-up. Through initiatives such as this visitation, BFD Philippines remains committed to accompanying Blessed Families and Blessing candidates throughout their journey and working closely with local leaders to provide the guidance, encouragement, and support they need.
