On September 10, the UPF New Zealand petition team, represented by Kenji, Geoffrey, and Harjit, met with Hon. Simeon Brown at the UPF offices in Pakuranga, Auckland. The meeting was held to introduce and discuss the National Family Day Campaign, including its vision, objectives, and progress, as well as to explore opportunities for further support.

The team presented a briefing on the campaign and provided an opportunity for questions and discussion. As part of the meeting, they also offered copies of True Father’s and True Mother’s autobiographies, allowing for a deeper sharing of the values and vision that inspire the campaign. Hon. Brown responded positively to the initiative and expressed his willingness to support the National Family Day petition.

The campaign carries the message that families are the cornerstone of society and that when parents are supported and children grow in loving and stable homes, communities are strengthened. The team emphasized that National Family Day is intended to be a positive and unifying initiative that brings people together around a value shared across cultures, beliefs, and communities—the importance of family.

The initiative is particularly relevant as New Zealand continues to face challenges involving youth mental health, social isolation, and community fragmentation. The campaign recognizes that strengthening family relationships can contribute to the well-being of children, parents, and communities, while providing a constructive and non-political platform through which people can affirm the importance of family life.

The meeting took place at an important stage of the campaign, as the petition has already been officially published on the New Zealand Parliament website and continues to gain momentum among communities. The team’s discussion with Hon. Brown was therefore a meaningful step in building wider awareness and support for the initiative, reflecting the growing interest in strengthening family values and promoting a healthier and more connected society.
