The Check-In Event was held as an opportunity for participants to reconnect, learn more about CARP, and build meaningful relationships through open discussion and fellowship. The gathering began with self-introductions and an icebreaker, followed by an introduction to CARP and a discussion of True Parents’ words and vision for the organization. The MC then guided the participants through the main topic and lesson, encouraging everyone to actively participate and share their personal thoughts and experiences in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The main message focused on the meaning of lifelong happiness and true love, emphasizing that genuine and lasting happiness does not come from focusing only on oneself, but from learning to live for the sake of others. While self-care remains important for maintaining physical and emotional well-being, deeper fulfillment develops through meaningful relationships and mutual give-and-receive. Participants were encouraged to practice true love through giving, serving, and caring for others without expecting anything in return, recognizing that although living for others may require sacrifice and stepping outside one’s comfort zone, it can strengthen relationships, expand the heart, and bring greater peace, purpose, and joy.

The participants openly shared their thoughts and feelings regarding the topic, allowing them to connect more deeply and learn from one another’s experiences. The program concluded with a closing reflection, group photo, and announcements regarding the next meeting and upcoming schedule. Overall, the Check-In Event provided not only an introduction to CARP but also a meaningful space for young people to reflect on how they can build a more fulfilling life by practicing true love and contributing positively to the lives of others.

Reflection:  It was very meaningful to hold the Check-in event that we had planned for the first time, as we were able to encourage and motivate young people who are living through difficult social circumstances and walk alongside them toward a happier life. It was also a meaningful opportunity for participants to gain strength and comfort by sharing their thoughts and experiences, empathizing with and supporting one another. Through this time together, we were reminded once again of the importance and value of community. -Boeun, HTG Missionary
