Prior to attending the national leadership programs, CDO Church Head Pastor Rev. Sylvia Deapera continued her regular pastoral responsibilities through home visitations to the Portallo, Tnusan, Penoso, and Yosores families. These visits provided opportunities to listen to their concerns, offer encouragement, conduct Hoondok Hae, pray together, and strengthen family relationships centered on Heavenly Parent and True Parents. Beyond providing pastoral care, these visitations reinforced our commitment to making every family feel valued, understood, connected, and embraced within our regional community.

A solemn privilege of participating in the Seonghwa Ceremony for the mother of our beloved elder brother Dundexter Truya. While the occasion was one of physical farewell, it became a profound reminder of the eternal value of life, faith, and the hope we share through God’s providence. Together with the bereaved family and church community, the community offered prayers of gratitude for the member’s life of faith while extending comfort, encouragement, and fraternal support during their time of mourning. 

The ministry of the local church likewise continued through the regular conduct of Hoondok Hae and Sunday Worship Services, actively led and participated by Senior Pastor Nelson Arca in Iligan Blessed Family Education Center, which remain essential foundations for nurturing the spiritual life of our Blessed Families and members. These gatherings provided opportunities for prayer, reflection, fellowship, and renewed commitment to living according to the teachings of Heavenly Parent and True Parents.

A significant highlight of this reporting period was our participation in the Seven-Day Hyojeong Cheon Shim Spirituality Growth Workshop for Philippine Leaders, held at the International Peace Leadership College (IPLC), Tanay, Rizal. The workshop was subsequently followed by a three-day CheonBo Program hosted by the National Headquarters of the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification Philippines, and concluded with a two-day National Leaders’ Meeting and Consultation.

These schedules were rigorous and spiritually intensive. Yet beyond the lectures, meetings, and activities, what left the deepest impression upon my heart was the atmosphere of genuine unity among the participants. Throughout the workshop, distinctions of position, responsibility, seniority, and organizational roles seemed to fade into the background. We gathered not primarily as regional leaders, pastors, coordinators, or administrators, but as sons and daughters of Heavenly Parent—called together with one heart to take ownership of the advancement of God’s providence.

This experience became a powerful testimony that true leadership begins with humility before God. It reminded me that our positions are temporary, but our identity as children of Heavenly Parent and our shared responsibility for His providence remain constant. The workshop, the CheonBo program, and the leaders’ consultation collectively renewed my spiritual perspective, strengthened my commitment to unity, and deepened my appreciation for the importance of collaborative leadership grounded in prayer, mutual respect, and sincere attendance.

Returning to Northern Mindanao with renewed faith, greater clarity of purpose, and a deeper desire to serve. The experiences of this reporting period have reaffirmed that the advancement of God’s providence is accomplished not through individual effort alone, but through the united investment of leaders, blessed families, and members who willingly offer themselves as instruments of Heavenly Parent and True Parents.
