From June 11 to 12, 2026, FFWPU Fiji conducted a Workshop at the Peace Embassy with the aim of encouraging young people to participate in community and youth activities. A total of eight participants attended the two-day workshop, which was designed to strengthen fellowship and support participants in their spiritual growth.

The workshop was divided into two sessions: the first day focused on newcomers, while the second day was dedicated to returning participants. The program included participant introductions, sharing sessions, interactive activities, fellowship over refreshments, and a closing program, creating a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for everyone.

Most of the participants were working students, while the workshop was facilitated by four core staff members, including three second-generation members and one first-generation member. The activity provided an opportunity to build stronger relationships, encourage continued participation, and nurture the spiritual development of young people within the Fiji community.

Reflection from a participant: First of all, I would like to thank Jeli and you guys for inviting me to this amazing workshop. I really enjoyed being part of it and learned many important lessons. This workshop taught me that being a good leader is not about being the boss, but about helping and caring for others. I learned about the RISE values and why they are important. Responsibility means taking responsibility for my actions and making good choices. Integrity means being honest and doing the right thing even when no one is watching. Service means helping other people and making a positive difference instead of only thinking about myself. Empathy means understanding how other people feel, listening to them, and treating everyone with kindness and respect.

The workshop also helped me understand that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference. I enjoyed the group discussions, activities, and listening to everyone’s ideas. They taught me the importance of working together, respecting each other, and building peace in our community. Overall, this workshop inspired me to become a better person and a better leader and will do my best to practice the RISE values every day and use what I learned to help others.
