On June 01, 2026, the Opening Program for Heavenly Japan Public officers of Cheon Il Guk was conducted at Sun Hwa International Academy, Antipolo City with a total of 36 participants attending face-to-face. The opening program formally began at 10:00 AM with the opening prayer led by Ms. Princess Min Mi Ilustrisimo, Sun Hwa HJ Global Education Center Teacher. The opening program was attended by Rev. Yutaka Yamada, the Continental Director of FFWPU Asia Pacific, Dr. Julius Malicdem, Vice-Continental Director of FFWPU AP, Rev. Ronnie D. Sodusta, Regional Director, FFWPU Philippines, Mr. Lee Soo Won, Director, Sun Hwa HJ Global Education Center, Rev. Jaime Vergara, President, Sun Hwa International Academy, Mrs. Mariflor Gavaran, Principal, Sun Hwa International Academy, and Sun Hwa International Academy Administrator Mr. Robert Mendoza, Sun Hwa HJ Global Education Center Teachers and staff.

Rev. Jaime Vergara delivered a welcome message that you didn’t just come to study English — you came to grow in confidence, to make new friends, and to experience a Philippine culture that’s known for its warm hearts and hospitality. To our public officers of CIG from Heavenly Japan: Congratulations for taking this step. Learning a new language takes courage, and you already showed that by being here. Mrs. Mariflor Gavaran, delivered a greetings message also every challenge you face here is an opportunity to grow stronger. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes when speaking—that is how we learn! Reach out, ask for help, and share your stories with us. You are here not just to build a successful career, but to become global leaders of character who can bring light to the world. We are honored to walk this path with you.

Rev. Ronnie D. Sodusta give special message to Heavenly Japan Public officers of Cheon Il Guk that he is thankful for coming to the Philippines because it’s the opportunity to help our Mother nation through taking care and helping the Japanese students. He emphasized also that if we can learn English language, we can save many people. He shared also that difficult exam is not our enemy, our enemy is Satan but we can overcome through our determination. Continental Director of FFWPU Asia Pacific, Rev. Yutaka Yamada delivered special and wonderful message he shares that having good teachers is very important to have good students, ESL is special environment, studying English in the Philippines is good opportunity and need to invest, very precious, need to have good mindset to focus in learning English language, this period may not come back again that’s why need to do your best and study more during free time.

Lastly, Mr. Lee Soo Won delivered the closing remarks and shares that, it is having the courage to try.

Please do not be afraid of making mistakes. We do not become good speakers before we start speaking. We become good speakers by speaking, making mistakes, learning, and growing. Mistakes are not failures. They are proof that you are challenging yourself and moving forward.
