The FFWPU Blessed Family Department Philippine Region successfully conducted its Mid-Year Planning Meeting on May 23, 2026, bringing together BFD leaders and coordinators from the national and local levels to evaluate current programs, review existing policies, and strengthen preparations for upcoming providential activities. The meeting formally began at 1:12 PM with the singing of Holy Songs and Kyungbae, followed by the opening prayer led by Mrs. Jesslyn Ilustrisimo, Cavite Church BFD Coordinator. The Meeting was attended by Rev. Yutaka Yamada, the Continental Director of FFWPU Asia Pacific, Dr. Julius Malicdem, Vice-Continental Director of FFWPU AP, Mrs. Dulce Buyayo BFD Asia Pacific Director, Mrs. Catherine Gregorio National BFD Director, and FFWPU Secretary General Rev. John Rhodbert Gregorio , and other Blessed Family Department representatives from different areas.

During the first session of the meeting, the body carefully reviewed the 2025 BFD Policies and Guidelines and discussed recommendations from various BFD coordinators nationwide. The participants also examined the Philippine BFD Statistics Report and discussed the proposed 2026–2027 Calendar of Activities. Collaborative discussions were conducted to identify improvements in the department’s policies, systems, and educational programs. Among the important resolutions raised during the meeting were the need to conduct regular Blessed Parents Education, establish monthly joint meetings between local pastors and BFD coordinators, and simplify the 1st Generation application form by removing unnecessary pages while retaining the leader’s recommendation portion.

The second part of the meeting officially resumed at 4:58 PM with greetings to the Asia Pacific leaders and introductions of the Blessed Family Department staff present from across the Philippines. Mrs. Catherine Gregorio presented the 2026 HJ Cosmic Blessing Report through a PowerPoint presentation, followed by a video presentation featuring the recently conducted 2026 Satellite Blessing in the Philippines. The presentations highlighted the accomplishments of the department and the continuing efforts to expand the Blessing Providence nationwide.

Dr. Julius Malicdem delivered a special message emphasizing the importance of systematic preparation for the 2027 Blessing. He stressed the need for strong cooperation between church pastors and BFD coordinators in educating and guiding matching and blessing candidates. He clarified the respective responsibilities of pastors and the BFD during the Level 1 and Level 2 Education processes and encouraged regular coordination meetings to ensure proper preparation of candidates. Rev. Yutaka Yamada also shared guidance regarding the central importance of the Blessing providence, emphasizing that raising more Blessing candidates remains one of the church’s most significant missions. He encouraged leaders to continuously educate and prepare candidates while maintaining flexibility and compassion in evaluating qualifications for matching.

The meeting concluded with a renewed sense of unity, commitment, and responsibility among the participants toward fulfilling the goals of the Blessed Family Department for 2026 and beyond. The discussions and guidance shared during the meeting provided clear direction for strengthening cooperation between local churches and BFD leaders, improving educational support for blessed families, and expanding preparations for the upcoming Blessing providence. The closing remarks were delivered by Mrs. Dulce Buyayo, followed by the closing prayer led by Mrs. Teresita Jumawan. The meeting officially ended at 6:15 PM.
