The Tong-Il Moo Do Martial Arts (TIMD) Region 6 Chapter, in partnership with the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU) Iloilo Church, successfully conducted a 7-Day Tong-Il Moo Do Workshop and Promotion held at Bagongbong Elementary School, Brgy. Bagongbong, Dueñas, Iloilo, from May 17–23, 2026.

The activity was attended by 19 young participants, with 16 participants coming from different areas of Iloilo Province and 3 participants from Capiz Province. The workshop received strong support from the principal of the host school, who warmly accommodated the participants throughout the duration of the training. The program was also supported by the barangay officials, as well as various groups and individuals who generously provided facilities, kitchen support, cooks, training mats, and first aid personnel. Their unity, cooperation, and spirit of service greatly contributed to the smooth, safe, and successful implementation of the workshop.

The physical training sessions were supervised by Master Rex Hangor, Regional Director of TIMD Region 6, who ensured that all participants properly learned and performed the fundamental Tong-Il Moo Do techniques, forms and applications. Meanwhile, the internal guidance and lectures, including Basic Divine Principle Education and TIMD Philosophy, were shared by the Head Pastor of FFWPU Iloilo Church Rev. Carlo Niño Bartolo and his staff, to provide spiritual education that complements the participants’ physical training.

The participants were guided through the 7 Tenets of Tong-Il Moo Do, which serve as the foundation for practicing martial arts centered on true love, discipline, character development, and living for the sake of others, as taught by our True Parents. Through this workshop, the participants deepened their understanding of the physical body, the eternal spiritual self, and the value of brotherhood and unity within the community.

The primary objective of the workshop was to nurture future black belts and instructors who will continue and uphold the legacy of Tong-Il Moo Do in Region 6. The program concluded beautifully with belt promotions and heartfelt reflections shared by the participants, expressing gratitude, inspiration, and renewed determination to continue their training and faith journey.
