In line with the Gen San Church’s commitment to spiritual stewardship, a focused home visitation was conducted on April 26, 2026 to reach out to “resting” members. This initiative, part of the ongoing Pastoral and Care Mission, aims to rekindle connections and provide personal support to families who have been disconnected from the church community for an extended period. This is a core component of the church’s Pastoral and Care Mission, designed to check on the well-being of members, offer prayers, and encourage a return to active fellowship.

The visitation team was led by the Head Pastor, Rev. John Bastol, accompanied by his wife and their daughter, Hyo Mi. They visited Myla Suminguit and her daughter, Kyla Suminguit, who are currently identified as “resting” members with long-time no-connection to the local church activities. The visit was strategically conducted prior to the Sunday service to offer an immediate invitation to the day’s worship and to start the Lord’s Day with a spirit of reconciliation.

The primary purpose was to re-establish a spiritual bond with Myla and Kyla. The mission seeks to ensure that no member feels forgotten and to address any barriers that may have caused their long-term absence from the church body.

The team approached the visit with a spirit of love and service. They spent time in sincere conversation, listening to the family’s current situation, and concluded the visit with a pastoral prayer for their household. The presence of the Pastor’s entire family (wife and daughter) emphasized the “family-to-family” approach of the Gen San Church’s outreach.

This home visitation highlights the Gen San Church’s dedication to the “one lost sheep” principle. By reaching out to the Suminguit family before the weekly service, the Pastoral and Care team demonstrated that every member is valued, regardless of how long they have been away. The mission remains focused on turning “no-connection” into a renewed, active faith.
