The International Association of Youth and Students for Peace (IAYSP) Pilipinas was invited to participate in LeadCon 2025 held at Isabela State University. The program aimed to empower student leaders with essential skills in peacebuilding, creative problem-solving, and collaborative leadership through the Peace Designer framework.
Mr. Jun Young Teves, President of IAYSP Pilipinas, served as the main speaker. He delivered an engaging lecture introducing the Peace Designer Program, emphasizing its role in developing leadership qualities such as critical thinking, empathy, teamwork, and innovative project-making. He also highlighted the importance of youth-led initiatives in addressing social issues and contributing to community peace and development.
Following the morning lecture, Mr. Teves facilitated a team-building session that encouraged communication, unity, and strategic collaboration among the participants.
After lunch, IAYSP Pilipinas, together with the HTG Korea Missionaries, conducted a hands-on Peace Designer Workshop, guiding students through the process of creating their own peace project proposals. Participants were divided into 12 groups, organized into four tribes, each assigned a specific social issue:
- Poverty and Hunger
- War and Conflict
- Mental Health
- Religious Harmony
Each group crafted a Peace Designer project addressing their assigned concern. From the twelve groups, one outstanding group per tribe was selected to present their project in front of all participants, showcasing creativity, clarity, and impact-driven solutions.
After the session, IAYSP received tokens and a certificate from the organizers, acknowledging their contribution to LeadCon 2025 and their continuous effort, creativity, and commitment to peacebuilding.
The Peace Designer session at LeadCon 2025 concluded on an inspiring note, leaving student leaders motivated to transform their ideas into meaningful actions for their communities.
